Currently studying with Ms. Laurie Smukler at the Juilliard School, the 19 year-old violinist Yutong Zhang received her early musical training at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing under the guidance of Professor Weijian Tang, Professor Hong Wang and Professor Liang Chai, and served as the concertmaster of the Youth Chamber Orchestra of the Central Conservatory of Music.  After winning the 2014 Asia International Music Competition in Seoul, Yutong was invited to perform with China Philharmonic Orchestra.  An active young performer of chamber music, she has collaborated with internationally acclaimed artists including violinist Joshua Bell at the Chamber Music Students Exchange Program in Taiwan, cellist Peter Hörr and violinists Ute Hassenauer and Sven Stucke at the Karwendel Music Festival.
